IQAC promotes the entrepreneurial spirit as a key way to maximise the economic and social impact of our scientific activity. The creation of spin-offs<\/strong> is one of our strongest commitments to putting disruptive technologies at the service of the market, especially in the fields of biotechnology and green chemistry. These companies are born from the knowledge generated in our research lines and become vehicles for innovation that create skilled jobs and wealth in the region. <\/p>

We encourage the creation of spin-offs to turn research into business innovation and economic development.<\/strong><\/p>

IQAC is committed to the creation of technology-based companies (spin-offs) as a strategic route to transform excellent chemical research into industrial assets with socio-economic impact. This valorisation model enables the knowledge generated in our research lines\u2014focused on understanding biological processes and developing diagnostic and monitoring methods or molecular therapies\u2014to be translated into real solutions that reach the market. <\/p>

Bicosome SL<\/strong>: founded in 2024, this company is a pioneer in the dermocosmetic and pharmaceutical sector. Based on a technology platform patented at IQAC, it uses bicosomes<\/em> (bicelles within liposomes) to transport and release active ingredients in a controlled and precise manner into the layers of the skin, improving the effectiveness of treatments for various skin conditions.. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CO2Breakers SL<\/strong>: established in 2025, this initiative arose from collaboration between IQAC, the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA) and the University of La Laguna. The company develops innovative technologies and equipment for the decomposition of carbon dioxide (CO2), offering solutions to the challenge of the energy transition and environmental sustainability <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

According to first-destination employment records, our doctoral candidates integrate quickly into the labour market once they have completed their thesis. The data show that those who choose an industrial career initially join R&D departments and technical roles in multinational pharmaceutical companies<\/strong>, fine<\/strong> chemicals<\/strong> SMEs in biotechnology<\/strong>, leveraging the methodological capabilities acquired at the centre. <\/p>
