These awards were born to honour V\u00edctor Carrer, who worked for 4 years in our research centre and, unfortunately, a day before defending his thesis, had an accident in which he lost his life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The First Edition had as a winner the Dr. <\/span><b>Merc\u00e8 Hereu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for her thesis \u201cRole of D-fagomine and omega-3 plyunsaturated fatty acids on gut microbia and related metabolic changes in healthy rats and in a model of fat-induced prediabetes\u201d, who received this award during the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dkeJLsht4-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>4th IQAC-CSIC annual workshop.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The candidates that want to aim for the award have until 31st January 2021 to present the application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Award rules and registration are in this <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iqac.csic.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/PREMIS-EXTRAORDINARIS-DE-DOCTORAT-Victor-Carrer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span><b><i>.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Awards V\u00edctor Carrer were created in 2019 to value the excellence work thesis presented in IQAC-CSIC and as a recognition of the done research.
