{"id":7753,"date":"2021-03-16T10:43:09","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T09:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iqac.csic.es\/aeqtc_symposium\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T11:11:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T09:11:11","slug":"aeqtc_symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iqac.csic.es\/en\/aeqtc_symposium\/","title":{"rendered":"Textile Industry: Efficient answer to the existence of a green future &#8211; 46th Symposium AEQCT\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The week from 8 to 11 March\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it took place the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeqct.org\/eventos\/46-simposium-de-la-aeqct\/\">46th Symposium<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeqct.org\/\"><b>Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Qu\u00edmicos y Coloristas Textiles (AEQCT)<\/b><\/a>, coordinated by <strong>Dr. Meritxell Mart\u00ed<\/strong>, from <strong>Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC)<\/strong>, vice secretary of the partnership and responsible for the Workshop Commission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>AEQTC<\/strong> is a <strong>prestigious National Institution<\/strong> founded in 1958 exclusively scientific, technician and non-profit making. This Partnership brings together people linked to companies producing colorants, auxiliary and sizing products, producers of textile fibers, manufactures and representatives of textile machinery, industrial companies dedicated to bleaching, dyeing, printing, sizing and finishing of textile materials as well as managers and technicians of the sector, University professors, researchers from the CSIC and Technology Centers and students college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every year, AEQTC organizes a national symposium and participates in the organization of the international congresses of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifatcc.org\/\">Federaci\u00f3n Internacional de Qu\u00edmicos y Coloristas Textiles (IFATCC).\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, the symposium consisted of 3 conferences and a round table, as well as the research poster presentaci\u00f3n and the delivery of the 32nd Prize for the Best Study of Textile Chemistry and Chemistry with Industrial Application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The slogan of this year was <strong>TEXTILE INDUSTRY: EFFICIENT ANSWER TO THE EXISTENCE OF A GREEN FUTURE<\/strong>, thus, through each of the three conferences, an attempt has been made to present a real industrial case by explaining one of the following three aspects: <strong>circular economy, product innovation <\/strong>and<strong> re-industrialization.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In particular, <strong>Mr. Alfredo Ferre<\/strong>, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.recovertex.com\/\"><b>RECOVER<\/b><\/a>, explained:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8220;I try to convince the audience that any project can change the world&#8221; while he was detailing the way of working with recycled fibers, his point of view, his strategy to reach the final consumer even as a leading textile industry, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second conference was given by <strong>Mrs. Olga Santiago<\/strong> from <a href=\"https:\/\/vertisol.com\/es\"><b>Vertisol<\/b><\/a>, she explained the journey her company has taken in terms of innovation to reach the top.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The third day of conferences, it was <strong>Mr. Abel Ortiz<\/strong> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.textilortiz.com\/es\"><b>Textiles Ortiz<\/b><\/a>, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0talked about how they reacted a year ago when they decided to change and started to produce reusable sanitary materials in that moment of extreme need.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fourth day ended\u00a0 with a round table led by <strong>Mr. R\u00f2mul Prat<\/strong> with the presence of <strong>Mr. Abel Ortiz<\/strong>, <strong>Rafael Ortiz<\/strong> from <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aquaclean.com\/es-es\">AQUACLEAN<\/a><\/b>, <strong>Francisco Sans<\/strong> from <b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mascarillasbejar.shop\/\">MASCARILLAS BEJAR<\/a><\/b> and the president, <strong>Mr. Carlos Aguilar.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 3 companies concluded that there is no difference, since the objectives are common for the entire industry sector regardless of their specialty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combining with the conferences and the round table, a research poster was exhibited every day, promoting the knowledge transfer between Universities and research centers, as the IQAC-CSIC with the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On behalf of the\u00a0 IQAC-CSIC, <strong>Dr. Albert M.
