Excessive intake of saturated fat and refined sugars,\u00a0which are present in a variety of affordable and palatable foodstuffs, are most probably responsible for the worldwide epidemic of diabetes and obesity. We at the Nutraceuticals Lab\u00a0have been lately working on the prevention of diet-induced diabetes by focusing on the very early stages in the development of insulin resistance (IR).
