This new network comprehends chemists, physicists and biologists and it is open to all CSIC groups with an active research in nanomedicine, which will drive this discipline through the application of technology at the atomic and molecular level for the detection and treatment of cancer, of cardiovascular diseases and infectious diseases, among others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dra. Isabel Haro<\/strong>, from the research group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iqac.csic.es\/research\/departments\/biological-chemistry\/synthesis-and-biomedical-applications-of-peptides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>USiBAP<\/strong><\/a>, is part of the executive committee of this platform. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iqac.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Institute for the Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC)<\/strong><\/a> stands out for being a national and international benchmark in nanomedicine.<\/p>\n<p>The network NanomedCSIC is coordinated by <strong>Fernando Herranz<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iqm.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IQM-CSIC<\/a>) and <strong>Mar\u00eda del Puerto Morales<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmm.csic.es\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICMM-CSIC<\/a>). The others researchers who take part of the committee are <strong>Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez de la Fuente<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/inma.unizar-csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INMA-CSIC<\/a>), <strong>Domingo F. Barber<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnb.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNB-CSIC<\/a>), <strong>Nora Ventosa<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmab.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICMAB-CSIC<\/a>), <strong>Francisco Rojo<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iiq.us-csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IIQ-CSIC<\/a>) and <strong>Montserrat Calleja<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imn.cnm.csic.es\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMN-CSIC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This iniciative joins to the creation of the network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csic.es\/es\/actualidad-del-csic\/nace-conexion-cancer-la-red-que-aglutina-la-investigacion-en-cancer-en-el-csic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Conexi\u00f3n-C\u00e1ncer<\/strong><\/a>, a space that brings together the CSIC centers that study this disease and that, together with Conexi\u00f3n-Nanomedicina, demonstrates the support of the institution in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of different diseases.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csic.es\/es\/actualidad-del-csic\/nace-conexion-nanomedicina-la-red-del-csic-para-impulsar-la-aplicacion-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read the CSIC new.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>IQAC-CSIC Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) has created the multidisciplinary infraestructure Conexi\u00f3n-Nanomedicina (NanomedCSIC) for the knowledge transfer about nanomedicine between researchers.
