The IQAC Director <strong>Jes\u00fas Joglar<\/strong> welcomed <strong>Llu\u00eds Calvo<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/delegacion.catalunya.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CSIC Catalonia delegate<\/a>), <strong>J\u00falia Borr\u00e0s<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iri.upc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deputy Director of the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics<\/a>), <strong>Salvador Carranza<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibe.upf-csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Institute of Evolutionary Biology<\/a>), <strong>Carles Sierra<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iiia.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute<\/a>), <strong>Roser Cort\u00e9s<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iibb.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona<\/a>), <strong>Elisa Mart\u00ed<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibmb.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona<\/a>), <strong>Santiago Giralt<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/geo3bcn.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of Geosciences Barcelona<\/a>), <strong>Marc Rius<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceab.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Blanes Center of Advanced Studies<\/a>), <strong>David Amabilino<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/icmab.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona<\/a>), <strong>Valent\u00ed Sallar\u00e8s<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icm.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Institute of Marine Sciences<\/a>), and <strong>Aldo Serenelli<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ice.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Director of the Institute of Space Sciences<\/a>). Jes\u00fas Joglar, together with the director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idaea.csic.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC)<\/a> <strong>Ethel Eljarrat<\/strong> made a presentation of the research lines and highlights of both centers.<\/p>\n<p>After the presentations, they were showed some of the outstanding laboratories, such as the Insectary, and the technological scientific facilities shared by IQAC and IDAEA, such as the Animal Facility, the Cell Culture Service and the Mass Spectrometry Service.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative was made to foster synergies among the centers and gain deeper understanding of the research conducted in CSIC Catalonia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Tuesday 20th March, the directors of CSIC centers in Catalonia met at the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) to get to know the research in our center.
