I am a chemist specializing in biochemistry. After an initial stage in academia, I moved to the private sector, joining a clinical analysis laboratory. Five years of professional and personal growth there confirmed that my true passion was science.
Subsequently, I completed a PhD at the University of Barcelona and a postdoctoral fellowship (Juan de la Cierva) at the Institute of Molecular Biology of Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC), specializing in biochemistry and structural biology. This period allowed me to participate in research stays, international collaborations, and pioneering techniques such as structural electron microscopy.
Motivated by the transfer of scientific knowledge to society, I later worked in a hospital and as a business development manager at a CRO. Over more than 20 years, I have gained extensive experience in basic research, healthcare innovation, and SME environments, developing strong skills in project management, creativity, and leadership.
After five years at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) as a funding and innovation manager, I am currently leading a new stage at IQAC-CSIC, coordinating an office dedicated to the promotion of excellence and internationalization. Although the objectives are ambitious and highly competitive, I am confident that, with my scientific, technical, and industrial background—and the support of my team—we will achieve them.
