I am the head of the Colloidal Dispersion Service at IQAC-CSIC and the Nanostructured Liquid Characterization Service within the NANBIOSIS infrastructure of CIBER-BBN.
I began my academic career with a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona (1999) and a diploma in Applied Chemistry from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). I defended my doctoral thesis, titled “New wool treatments with enzymes,” at the University of Barcelona.
My research interests include: water-in-water emulsions as new delivery systems, development of meso- and macroporous materials from highly concentrated emulsions, synthesis and application of chitosan hydrogels and films for textile functionalization, and enzymatic and chitosan-based treatments to minimize wool shrinkage.
Since 2009, I have participated in the Master’s in Cosmetics and Dermopharmacy organized by the Center for Higher Studies in the Pharmaceutical Industry (CESIF), and since 2016, I have taught a course on Surfactants and their Applications.
