The SAXS-WAXS service provides structural measurements using a variety of measurement systems for crystalline and semi-crystalline materials. The range of distances of interest lies within the nanoscale domain (0.2-100 nm). Materials include surfactant solutions, liquid crystals, mesoporous materials, microemulsions, proteins in solution, DNA in solution, and any type of material with electron density discontinuities within the aforementioned range.
Preparation, temperature control, and measurement of the sample in X-ray equipment using a point beam.
Grazing-incidence measurement.
Replacement of the linear detector of the point-collimation SAXS-WAXS equipment with a 2D detector (CCD camera)
To use the service, please contact via email Dr. Ramon Pons or Jaume Caelles.
