IQAC holds the Young Researchers’ Day with mass participation

The new edition of the Young Researchers’ Day took place on 13th June, in which PhD, Master’s, undergraduate students and early postdoctoral researchers presented their work in 12 oral communications and 10 flash-talk posters.

A total of 100 people attended the event, including principal investigators, technicians, and post-docs, who could learn about the diverse research carried out at IQAC.

After the sessions, all speakers participated in a workshop on how to land a scientific job in the industry, conducted by Rodrigo Hernando, from Libertad Con Ciencia.

At the end of the event, the awards for the best oral communication and best flash-talk poster were given.

  • Best oral communication: Carla Busquets (Chemical Biology), for her presentation “S-acylation is heterogeneous: A method to identify S-bound fatty acids”
  • Best flash-talk poster: Romane Guisiano (Medicinal Chemistry and Synthesis) for her presentation “Photoswitchable Ligands for Targeting Melatonin Receptor Activation Using Light”
