New technologies patented by IQAC

The CSIC Deputy Vice-Presidency of Knowledge Transfer (VATC-CSIC) is making a series of videos to help promote new technologies. In the case of our institute, three videos on some of the newly patented technologies have been published and they are already available for licence.

The objective of VATC-CSIC is to ensure that the greatest number of capacities and scientific-technical achievements of CSIC are transformed into social, economical and cultural welfare, and for that, these videos are a good tool to make the last technological achievements of the CSIC research centers published.

New technologies IQAC-CSIC

The Nanobiotechnology for Diagnosis (Nb4D) group has developed a methode for rapid detection of infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, one of the most virulent microorganisms that exists and cause of some the diseases of the lower respiratory tract.

The Supramolecular Chemistry group has recently patented some molecules to inhibit the effect of Heparine, the most common anticoagulant drug.

This same research group has also developed a method for the rapid diagnosis of cystinosis and cystinuria, which currently requires complex and expensive methods.
