The Photoheart project, led by the Medicinal Chemistry and Synthesis research group, has been awarded a prize in the ACTIVA-T CSIC program, the final of which was held on June 12th in Santiago de Compostela. The prize includes a €20,000 grant.
The initiative, presented by Anna Llebaria, aims to provide early and localized treatment during reperfusion therapy to significantly reduce damage to cardiac tissue. This seeks to improve patient recovery and decrease the risk of future cardiovascular complications.
“This award boosts the development of our technology transfer project, allowing us to carry out activities aimed at strengthening our business model and bringing us one step closer to creating a technology-based company based on our technology,” explains Anna Llebaria.
The ACTIVA-T CSIC program aims to foster entrepreneurship and promote knowledge transfer to the market through the creation of technology-based companies. Among the projects also awarded in this edition are ViVo NEXT (Institute of Chemical Synthesis and Homogeneous Catalysis), MOF Flow Recovery (Institute of Materials Science of Madrid) and HydroBond (Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon).
